Learn How to Edit Your Photographs Using Adobe Photoshop

This one day workshop is suitable for anyone wanting to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop for editing their digital photographs. While Photoshop is the most comprehensive imaging editing software available, it can appear very complex and intimidating to new users. On this course, you will learn only those parts of Photoshop that are relevant for photo editing, and the tools that can help you to do that.

Through a range of guided practical exercises, you will learn how you can use some of the automatic and manual tools within Photoshop to:

  • download photographs from your camera
  • organize and compare your images to select the best ones
  • adjust the brightness and contrast of your images
  • correct and enhance colour to really bring your pictures alive
  • make striking black and white versions of your colour photographs

  • remove minor imperfections such as dust spots, vapour trails, power lines etc
  • add borders and text to your images

Peak Digital training is pleased to announce our first one day course devoted to using the popular Adobe Photoshop Elements software. Elements is a very powerful tool for editing your images, having about 70-80% of the functionality of its big brother Adobe Photoshop – and all for about one tenth of the price! Peak Digital Training is pleased to announce that we will be running a one day digital photography workshop especially for Nikon digital slr users on Saturday December 3rd. It will run from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, and will be based at a wonderfully situated cottage in the Derbyshire Peak District (see Peak District Photography Workshops – idyllic new location for details).

It is suitable for anyone who uses a Nikon digital slr – whatever your level of expertise – and you will learn not only how to adjust settings to get the best results straight out of the camera, but also some of the advantages to using Nikon software with your images – particularly if you shoot in NEF format. Digital camera courses, Sheffield and Saudi Arabia – the connection.

Last weekend, that connection was a little cottage at 1000 feet above sea level in the Derbyshire Peak District. This was the first digital camera course that Peak Digital Training was holding at our new location (see Peak District Photography Workshops – idyllic new location for details), and a very international affair it was too. One of our participants lives in Sheffield and South Africa, while the other currently lives in London, but is originally from Saudi Arabia (and has also spent several years studying in the US).
